RESEARCH

Prison Dialogue is committed to providing high quality research in support of the extensive use of Dialogue in prisons, corrections and the criminal justice system internationally.  This includes case studies authored by Prison Dialogue and others summarising some of our work since 1993, improving communication and addressing social and organisational fragmentation.  We also want to help to make available the research and ideas of other professionals about the changing state of prisons and corrections. The Letters from America and Letters from the UK form part of our offering in this regard.  Finally, we want to promote dialogue as a research methodology, because participatory research done with people gives highly qualitative information about the value of interventions that may not be derived from the kinds of questionnaires and research undertaken on people.

Additional research reports and case studies about the work carried out by Prison Dialogue since 1993 that are not yet on the website are available on request from enquiries@prisondialogue.org.
